Hello Summer Faculty!

It's crunch time and now that school is winding down, I hope we can make this curriculum sing! :0

We're split between times we can get together, so I think this is a sign that we should utilize the HECK out of our WIKI prior to coming together to formalize. It looks like its split halfway between Saturday, May 23rd and 30th... so rather than me coming in two Saturdays in a row, here's what I propose. Let's divide the responsibilities and assign sections. This way we can get every detail in the WIKi so the next time we come together it will be to fill in the details we missed and arrange the layout of how we want to package the content for the candidates...

Here's how I thought we could divide up... you guys can make changes to this, I just thought I'd start with a suggested division of roles. You can certainly commit to more than one category if you are PASSIONATE about certain content. This isn't to say you shouldn't be in and out of all of these periodically just to make sure nothing is getting repeated or overdone.

If its okay with you, I will go in and out of all of these and contribute with resources, logistics, and additional specifics. Yes please & Thank you JR

PLEASE DO THE FOLLOWING for each of your assigned sections:**
  • Write what support materials, handouts, and audio-visual items are needed
  • Outline the interactive strategies and activities that will take place clearly and consisely. Approach it as though you were writing a facilitator's guide. Be specific and sequence carefully. If another facilitator were asked to present this content. Write out everything they should know and convey to candidates.
  • Include an approximate time frame for each activity, to ensure we can fit it all in!
  • Create Word Documents and Powerpoints, or templates for activities to aid in the facilitation of the content. (feel free to share what you have with other categories too.. no sense in reinventing what might already exist.) NOTE: If you create a powerpoint of any kind, please just use a blank PPT slide with NO transitions or fancy fonts.. b/c Kathy would like us to transfer them to our K-12 templates in keynote anyway... so no need to spend hours on it, just get the content on the slides. Make sense? Graphics are ok, just keep to a minimum or only use if useful in relaying the content of the slide... (in other words, not just for cute sake). You like that Greg?? ;) Word Documents
  • will be changed/modified to have the K-12 feel as well.. so basic fonts are fine. ;)

For Daniela... :)

Here is the template.......
